Cat
Locator from Innotek
One of Innotek's latest innovations
utilizes a radio transmitter to activate a micro receiver located around
your cats neck. The receiver worn by your cat emits three tones to alert
you of the location of your feline. Flip the switch on the transmitter to
utilize a click feature for training. TRACKER I 400MHz wireless tracking
device IN DEVELOPMENT; AVAILABLE
IN APRIL 2003! TRACKER I is a small tracking device
that works for weeks without changing a battery. All you have to do is tie
one to your cat's collar and use the provided special receiver to track
down the target by turning the small
directional antenna (provided) until you find the direction with strongest
signal. Than just follow and repeat until you find your target. Range of the tracker is
from 2km to 5km (1-3 miles) , depending on terrain configuration. Pet
Tracker Flashing Tag Ruff
and Tumble Flashing Tag It's an I.D. tag by day and a flashing safety tag by night. Flashing tags are equipped with motion and light sensors so they only light up at night while your pet is moving. This feature increases the life of the battery from hours to months! Visible for up to 1/3 mile. Tags are waterproof. Battery included. Tattoo
all your cats All cats should have a tattoo. Cats are usually
tattooed while under anesthetic for routine surgery like a spay/neuter or
a dental. They are generally very inexpensive. Tattoos can not be lost or
removed, and will protect your cat from theft, and conclusively identify
your cat whenever the need arises. Keep
the Tattoo data up to date
as tattoos work because they link the tattoo number with
your contact information - the whole system is useless if that contact
information is out of date. Always call the organization, where your
tattoo is registered, every time you move or your information needs to be
updated. Microchips These certainly can't hurt! Unfortunately many shelters
and veterinary clinics still do not have the necessary equipment to check
for them, and thus it is not the most reliable safeguard if your cat is
lost.
